Meet the Judges

Melisa Poulton

Principal Judge

Melisa Poulton, the creative force behind House of Poulton, reigns as the local ruffle queen. Armed with a Higher National Btech Diploma in Fashion and Textiles, she’s steered her business since 2012. A fixture on the Fashion Council of Namibia, she champions Namibian fashion, showcasing at Windhoek Fashion Week for five consecutive years and styling presenters for the Namibian Music Awards. Recently joining Africa Fashion International, Melisa advocates for collaboration and mentorship among emerging Namibian designers.

Martha Kautanevali

Judge

Martha Kautanevali, Civil Engineer with a BSc. from the University of Namibia, also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. A 2021 YALI alumni and Katuka Mentorship Program graduate, Martha co-founded the Queenshono Mentorship program, aiding STEAM students. She also co-founded the Women in Business Network, fostering support among businesswomen. Beyond engineering, she’s a reigning Miss Earth Namibia, public speaker, and wellness ambassador, engaging in various community projects.

Beaulah Boois-Beukes

Judge

Beaulah Boois-Beukes, from intern to Manager of Public Relations at the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, blends her media expertise with lecturing and voice-over artistry. With a Master’s Degree in Media from the University of Namibia, she’s enriched academia at institutions like NUST and UNAM. Passionate about social issues, she directed the short film “Bleeding Love” on teenage pregnancy and gender-based violence. Serving on beauty pageant judging panels, Beaulah balances her roles as wife, mother, and educator.

Leoné Renate van Jaarsveld

Judge

Leoné Renate van Jaarsveld, hailing from Swakopmund, holds titles as Miss Namibia 1st Runner up 2022 and Miss World Namibia 2023. Beyond her accolades, she manages human resources at The Swakopmund Station Hotel and heads LR Beauty and Rentals CC, focusing on makeup and hair styling. Her philanthropic venture, LR Youth Support, uplifts disadvantaged coastal youth. Recently representing Namibia at the Miss World International, she continues her dedication to community service.

Liezel Ndjaronguru

Judge

Liezel Ndjaronguru, the dynamic force behind Divas&Gents lifestyle fitness center, prioritizes youth development and community empowerment. Partnering with EPP to end period poverty and organising the renowned Little Black Dress event, Liezel fosters empowerment and sophistication. She champions the neglected boy child through the He_Leads men’s summit, embodying ambition and social responsibility.
