Following the spectacular preliminary events hosted by the Miss Namibia Organization – powered by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), on 11 and 12 May 2023 at the astoundingly beautiful Droombos, the Miss Namibia Top 10 finalists took off on their pageant excursion.
The organization ensured the semi-finalists were a true representative of the Namibian people as entrants from all corners of the country streamed in and made it to the Miss Teen Namibia | Miss Namibia stages.
With the selection of the Top 30 coming from as far as Tsintsabis, Khorixas, Opuwo, Mariental, Keetmanshoop and Otjinene, to the selection of the MCs, speaking to inclusivity and for the first time in Namibian history – trans woman were also represented highlighting that the national broadcaster and the Miss Namibia Organization is an equal opportunity employer which does not discriminate.
Miss Namibia Organization CEO, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said that the events were spectacular and out of this world: “Everything went according to plan, the team hosted a high quality production with a crisp and clear live production with stellar performances by award winning local artists Script and Waters.”
The way forward is paved with the introduction of the Top 10 to the Namibian public as they tour the country. The tour also offers the organization the opportunity to show off the beauty that Namibia has to offer and to promote tourism. This year, the excursion leads to southern Namibia with the Miss Namibia Organization and the Top 10 starting off in Keetmanshoop all the way through to Luderitz!
